my sim card has stopped working and the kooodos net is down till 9am

yes, after 120 days since you top up the account for last time the sim card expire and your account gets cancel, you will need to buy a new one and start a new account

Do keep in mind though that if you’ve are without a base plan for 90 days, your account will be deactivated and you’ll lose your phone number and any funds remaining on your account balance, including your boosters.

How do I de-activate my Koodo Prepaid SIM card?
To de-activate your SIM card, just stop topping up your account. Once you've been without an active base plan on your account for a full 90 days, your Koodo Prepaid SIM card will be automatically de-activated and you'll lose your phone number and any funds remaining on your account balance, including your boosters. Once de-activated, you'll need to buy a new Koodo Prepaid SIM card to resume prepaid service.
