Does my home phone still have voice recognition & can I still see who's calling on the TV screen in the middle of a program

No. Voice recognition is built into the smartphone handset / services, and caller display on the TV requires a landline setup, and interconnect at the exchange.

The call display on your TV set is only done when your TV provider is also your home phone provider.

As far as your voice recognition goes - if it's built into the phone set you were using before, it will continue to work the same way if you still use the same set.
