Hi Guys,

I'm considering getting an unlocked LG G3 D855 but I was wondering if Koodo supports its LTE.

The frequencies for the LG G3 D855 are 700 / 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600. I'm getting confused with what Koodo's LTE frequencies are.

Any ideas?

Koodo uses 4G LTE 1700/2100

It will but signal may be poor when out of range from a 2100 frequency tower.

Yes Telus and Koodo use the same network

Just to verify, Koodo will support its 3G network as well right?

HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100

And also this stuff only applies for Data right. Things such a calls and texts should be compatible for sure right.

Koodo uses
3G HSPA+ 850/1900
4G LTE 1700/2100

You are good for data and calls on 3G with Koodo.
If you have LTE connection you will get faster data speeds. If you lose your LTE connection then you will revert to 3G data speeds.

Hey Dennis this isn't directly associated with the initial question but do you know the process of replacing a phone with a unlocked phone?

I currently have a phone that is with Koodo. Do I need to open a new account to get the 10% discount for unlocked phones?

Thanks

Nope, as long as you have no negative Tab owing with Koodo, all you have to do is call in and ask for the discount. It doesn't matter what phone you're using, even if it was originally from Koodo.
