If I want to send a photo from a text to an email address, does that cost me in data?

Are we talking forwarding the picture to the email addresses via Mms?

Yes, I would think so, unless there's another method.

If you forward it via the text messaging application (via 'MMS'), then yes its included in your plan. It counts as a picture message which is unlimited as long as you have unlimited texting.

Technically no, however, it is sent as an MMS message, and in order to send a MMS you need to have mobile data enabled, which does open the door for other apps to start using data. The "data" used by the MMS service does not count as regualr data so you won't be charged if you have a texting / MMS plan.
