Does anyone know the process of switching phones with Koodo? Currently, I have an Android phone and I just can't get used to the OS, I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone (don't care which generation). Does anyone know if there will be any additional charges, extra fees, changes to my current plan, etc...? Any help would be greatly appreciated, happy holidays!

nope.  as long as the phone is unlocked, just put your SIM in it.  If it needs a differently-sized SIM, then you'll have to buy one from Koodo

Yes, for the most part, you just put the SIM into your phone.  If it is a new SIM that you buy, you will need to activate the SIM, either through Self Serve, or through 611.  If it is a non-koodo bought phone, you may need to configure the APN for data and/or MMS

Sorry for all the questions haha, just don't want to be paying anything extra. One last question, will my tab fee still be the same? Like I would still pay x amount but the time to pay off the tab would just take longer since it is an iPhone.

It depends on when you bought the phone you have now with a tab from Koodo. If your within the 15 day return period then you can exchange the phone and pay the difference upfront. If your passed the 15 day return period you will have to keep the phone you have now and pay your tab off in full when you go to get the iPhone on the new tab.
What phone do you have right now that you don't like?

Right now I've got the Galaxy Grand Prime. I got the phone around mid October earlier this year. I only have a little amount left on my tab, could I pay that off and switch?

Yes you'll need to pay off your present tab in full before you can upgrade on a new tab, you can pay it at he tine of the upgrade or have it added to your next bill. Then you can get a new phone on the tab with either the regular tab and pay $15 per month tab charge and keep the plan you have or choose a tab plus plan and use tab plus and pay up to $21 per month tab charge and take more off the initial cost of the new phone.

So after looking at the phone you have you are paying $7 per month for your tab charge, so to keep your tab charge at $7 you will have to pay alot more upfront at the time you get the phone to keep your monthly charges the same.
