If I make an outward call while staying outside my local home area, will it be charged with long distance minutes always? For example, I got a Toronoto phone number on my phone. If I goto Ottawa and make call to another Ottawa number, what would be charged? only local or local+long distance?
If you go to Ottawa and call and Ottawa number, it will be considered a local call (Your Toronto number wont make a difference). If you receive a call though (from ANY number), it will be long distance. If you make a call to a number that isn't in the local calling area you're in (in this case Ottawa) you will also be charged long distance.
Of course if you have a Canada-wide plan, you won't have to worry about long distance issues.
