I became a Koodo customer on the old tab system, and am now looking to upgrade my phone. I currently have a -$100 tab balance, and am on an old $30 Canada Wide Data plan. Is it possible to switch to a medium tab when upgrading (giving me $200 more worth of tab space) and keep my old plan, or would I also have to switch plans when upgrading?

Hi there Steve... You can certainly keep the existing plan, clients need to change the plan only when applying for TAB L since...

Hi Camilo, if a customer has a plan that costs less then $30, he would have to change it to get the Tab M :) Thank you!

Let me clarify: as long as it's $30 or higher. Since your plan qualifies for that threshold, you can keep it.

You will then get the 15% Koodo contribution and be subjected to the $5 Tab charge on top of your plan to make up for the increased subsidy. It's cleared after 24 months.

This says different:

$500 tab
$95 plan: 14.25 + 10 = 24.25 x 24 = $582($500 tab cleared in under 2 years)

$75 plan: 11.25 + 10 = 21.25 x 24 = $510($500 tab cleared in under 2 years)

$65 plan: 9.75 + 10 = 19.75 x 24 = $474($500 tab NOT cleared by the 2 year mark)

-------------------

$300 tab
$75 plan: 11.25 + 5 = 16.25 x 24 = $390($300 tab cleared in under 2 years)

$60 plan: 9 + 5 = 14 x 24 = $336($300 tab cleared in under 2 years)

$50 plan: 7.5 + 5 = 12.50 x 24 = $300 ($300 tab cleared by 2 years)

$40 plan: 6 + 5 = 11 x 24 = $264($300 tab NOT cleared by the 2 year mark)

It depends on when you got the Tab, ThuyDoanTrang Ly :) If it was before July (when they changed the Tab options), it can take longer than 2 years.
All the NEW tabs are guaranteed to be cleared after two years, so if there is still something left, it will be cleared anyway.

Did that answer your question?
