Sorry I had to lol.

Are you looking at plans or a special phone? What did you have in mind that you would consider a kid's phone? Price, durability, control?

Now that everyone has had a cheap laugh... this is actually a very important question.

Most of the big button "simpleton" phones are designed for seniors who may be facing certain limitations, and will not interest a child for very long.

You & your child will probably be better off with a cheap starter android on prepaid, to limit any potential abuse, and a supervisory software package:

Found this one today:

Load one onto your Android phone and give it a try. If satisfied, find a cheap used Android phone for your kid on Kijiji or a starter phone from Koodo, something that you can afford to replace. Your child will benefit more from something that can play certain games under your supervision than from a "dedicated" child or senior phones. Something with buttons that can only call mom is likely to be forgotten very quickly, but the mini game machine with an emergency number will not be left far behind very long.

If you are hunting on eBay or Amazon for a throw-away phone, look for something unlocked that is AT&T compatible. It will work with Koodo 100%.

Please let us know how you make out or what decision you reach.
