Has anyone changed to any of the new limited time plans Koodo is currently offering? I currently pay 100+$ for a A5 on Medium tab with my plan I get unlimited Canada wide calling, unlimited texting & 1GB of data my plan it's self is 65$. I see now there is better plans with more data for less then I pay. Now my question is I was attempting to change my 65 to one of the new 45$ plans which says unlimited calling texting and 2GBs of data (awesome right?) before confirming the switch I was notified to go over all details i then was given a mother drop bar with more details with I've taken screen shots hoping someone could explain why it says unlimited calling then in the "nitty gritty" section it says the "unlimited" has time restrictions which to me doesn't really make it unlimited anytime. I Am so confused would love to switch plans but will not until I'm positive I know what I'm switching to any way sorry for the novel and I appreciate anyone who can take the time to clarify thanks so much!

Hi Cheyenne,
The footnotes have numbers to reference certain rateplans. The no#3 wasn't marked in your unlimited calling plan, then it didn't apply. I believe the no3 was for some other BYOD 500minutes plan.

If you saw your plan had unlimited canada-wide minutes, then it is unlimited for calls within Canada at anytime.

Your plan you want is unlimited Canada wide minutes with no other restrictions. The time restrictions mentions local calling or other Canada wide plans with limited minutes but not the one you want. Make the switch and enjoy cheaper plan with more data.

I don't get though how your current plan is $65 on medium tab($15) yet you pay $100 plus a month when it should be $80 a month plus tax.

Thank you for explaining that to me.. I am thinking it has some thing to do with a warranty I pay into monthly. I was thinking it was sort of pricy so I'm really pumped to be able to switch to a 45$ plan and have more data at that. Thanks again!

You just give it to them. Nothing else needs to be done. If they are with another provider just make sure to get it unlocked from Koodo first or it wont work.

No I got a phone for a friend aswell under my name like a co signer sort of its been 5 maybe 6 months they have asked if I can put it in their name now so I won't have to worry anymore about the bill being paid I would no longer be responsible

Ahh I see. Ya I dont even know if that would be possible. You would have to call Koodo at the least to see if they could transfer that phone and payments to your friends account. Then again there was probably a reason your friend didnt get the phone themselves in the first place. Anyways calling Koodo would be your best bet unless someone else can chime in with any other ideas.

@Cheyenne: if you want to transfer the phone (I assumed it was on TAB with a phoneline) to another person, you could do a "transfer of ownership"  ($10).

You and the other person need to go a Koodo kiosk, the other person will open another account under his/her name, and you then can transfer the phone (with Tab and a phone line).

Awesome thanks alot. I do have one myself then another for a friend she has a separate account (sort of) I don't see any of her billing info on my line it's all separate but technically it's all under my name. She says she thinks her credit is good enough that she does need it under me anymore originally I was doing it to help her build hers however it didn't work out that way. I don't know much about phones so I didn't ask as many questions as I probably should have when adding a line. Nothing has gone wrong she has made every payment on time since October so I don't have a problem with her wanting her phone under her own account if it's possible. I did not want to be charged for calling customer service for asking questions though so you all have helped me save money and answered all my questions thank you very much all your help is greatly appreciated ☺
