I added unlimited texting in the US since I'm on a trip there, will people who text me while I'M in the U.S. be charged when they're texting me from Canada?

No. If you are sending from your home zone to anywhere on the planet your home zone recipient will be, there is no extra charge, as long as it's technically feasible.

Would be no extra charge even if you had not taken the add-on.

YOU would pay for outgoing, but normal recipients would not.
