Do I need to request the monies (credit existing on my account $600+) on my closed account or will the cheque automatically be sent to me?

You will need to request it. I suggest trying to contact Koodo by Private Message to their Facebook page or a DM through Twitter rather than calling.

Keep in mind that credits earned on tab towards new equipment are not refundable in ca$h. If the bulk of your $600 is in that category, I believe you can quickly re-instate your account within a short period of cancellation (all carriers have an unpublished "remorse" policy), then use it up in the only way possible... by upgrading your equipment which will now be unlocked.

This was an overpayment... wine and online bill paying do I need to say more?
I did end up getting thru and the lovely lady who helped me noticed that they even over billed me and Koodo is mailing me a cheque.
Funny thing tho, it can take 4-6 weeks to get said cheque but I only have 6 weeks to cash the cheque....
