Do I need any add-ons for a Blackberry Q10?

I just upgraded my wife's phone to a Blackberry Q10 from a Blackberry 9900.  My account has a Blackberry Connect (100MB) add-on that I cannot find a description for anywhere.  Do I need this add-on anymore or should I cancel it?  My son has a Blackberry Classic and I am paying for a Blackberry Value Add-on.  Again, I can find no description of what this includes, and so need to know whether I am paying for something I do not need.

You don't need those add ons but you may want to choose a plan with some level of data included. Otherwise you're Paying the pay per use rate

Also, if you change plans be sure to pick a plan that has the blackberry internet service included don't choose the one for Android this way if you ever want to go back to your old Blackberry you can.
So instead of Android or Blackberry 10 device choose blackberry bold or curve

None of the packages available list Blackberry Internet Service in their description.  I will probably pick the 300 min/300Mb data package in the new deals, but I still don't know how the Blackberry fits into this package.  Any other advice would be appreciated.

There is a drop down menu that asks what types of phone you have.... Unless that's been removed.

You should see it when you get to change plans

There is no menu to pick phone-specific plans...

Hey mate.
By default a free add-on called "blackberry apn access" is added to everyones plans.
You shouldn't need a phone specific plan.
any old one will work.
As for those add-ons I would scrap them.
never heard of them in my life.

hope this helps !

No idea as to a specific date.
but definitely as long as the new tab structure has been out.

Sweet. Thank god Koodo has finally done that. Telus did that way back and I'm glad Koodo adopted it. I remember talking about this not too long ago on a different thread

Hey guys! To clarify, Mitchell is right. There now is a "blackberry apn access" add-on that is added by default to all of our current plans, so you can choose any plan and it will work no problem with a Blackberry

The Blackberry Connect (100MB) add-on included:

  • up to 100 MB of email, web browsing, BlackBerry Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, plus more.
The Blackberry Value add-on included:
  • Unlimited access to BlackBerry Messenger.
  • Unlimited text messaging
  • Call forwarding
  • Tethering available for 5¢/MB
Both of these features are now expired, so if you will be getting the Canada wide 300MB 300min plan for $35, you can safely remove them both :)

I am not sure if this will help, but I have a 9900 BB bold. I find I will not use more than 100MB/month. From what I understand BB does not use as much data as the Apple or Samsung phone for example. I love my BB, I used to have an iPhone and I loved that as well. But now that I've used the BB, I love it more....!!!
