I made a call today that said it was roaming and I got two texts from Koodo that said I was roaming and welcomed me to the US... but I was just outside Sooke on Vancouver Island. Will I be charged roaming fees for this call even though I was in BC?

Hello Mike

There's a chance that you will be charged roaming because you were connected TO US network. But if you call Koodo and explain them the situation they might credit you the charges.

To avoid that, make sure to turn automatic carrier setting off when near the boarder

You can login to self serve to see if you were charged for the call or not.

Hey Mike,

I suggest you wait until your next bill comes out to view your total charges. The good thing is that we'll be able to make the necessary verifications to find out where the call originated from, so no worries.

However, to prevent this from happening in the future, I would also go with what Robert suggested :)!
