 Hi Larry,

If the account is under your name, then you get the credit check done in your name. If you then give it to your son for use, you will be responsible for all charges that occur with it. You also need to be 18 for a post-paid account, so if you want everything in your son's name perhaps pre-paid is the best option,

A person under the age of majority in your province cannot legally enter into a contract, so, no, it is not possible to put the account in his name.
