i bought a phone from you guys (Koodo)about 3 months ago and was told i could get 1 free gig of data when ever i wanted it added now their saying i cant whats with that?

Was this a Koodo kiosk you got the phone from?

To the best of my knowledge, Koodo never had a 1gb free promotion.

Is it possible your plan included 1gb but you have data tuned off? In that case you'd need to call customer service and get your data turned back on.

Im guessing they told you that you could switch to one of the promotional plans that were available 3 months ago (which game with extra data). Which you could have done up until the point they expired and were no longer available. Ive said it before, that as with any sales promotions or anything, if you find a deal/offer that you really want you should jump on it as it could expire next week. The good thing is that im sure there will be more promo plans coming, but none of us here know what they are going to be or when they will launch.

Koodo hasn't offered data addons for at least one year, if not longer.

Koodo can't "add" 1GB to your plan just because. You can check what kind of plan you have currently through Self Serve > Plans. If you want to change, you can change to any plan once a month. The next monthly bill should be prorated to fit the plan changes.

Technically, adding "1GB" would just be using an additional 1GB of data on top of whatever they have..
