Koodo has an iphone SE listed as "refreshed" available online - what does this mean? Same as refurbished/ certified pre-owned? Thanks

Previously owned or out of the box phone that gets new hardware parts put on the device then put back on the market at a better value.

Thanks. So "refreshed" is the same as refurbished/ certified pre-owned? Or is there a difference?

Yes, you'd be correct.

I'm just trying to understand why Koodo would use 2 different descriptors to describe a "used" phone.  In both cases, would the phone only be used for a max 30 days?  Not sure why they have to make it so confusing -  the iPhones as "refreshed" and the Android phones "certified pre-owned".  Also, the certfied pre-owned iPhone only comes with a 6 month warrantty.

Perhaps if Koodo stopped using this bizarre soft language, or 'Newspeak', people wouldn't need to start multiple threads with the same question.

@Vinny: the thread is 7 months old.  Things have changed. Right now the word is "Certified Pre-Owned" and it seems to be consistent.

If you buy "refresh" iphone from Telus, and having one year warranty from Apple, then it will be as good as the new one.
