No, I haven't. I am in BC
The alert was suppose to go off in Alberta and Saskatchewan today at 1:55pm. My phone number is Saskatchewan but I am currently in Alberta. I heard some phones go off while I was shopping but my phone did not!

My understanding was that the "base" for your phone number is irrelevent. It matters your location. An alert for a disaster in Alberta would not be sent to you if you were visiting someone in Nova Scotia as you are not in the path of the danger.

Should have read your comment closer. If the test was for both provinces your phone should have triggered. Sorry. Will read closer next time.

Just recd Amber Alert in Ontario. Came thru as a text and not as a push msg from Weather Network app. Hope the OPP find the child and mother safe.

I personally believe that it was due to my iPhone being on VoLTE. Since yesterday I have been having issues. I can’t send MMS or get data, but as soon as I switch down to “data only” everything works. Can someone report this issue?

Nope but CBC is reporting that a coding glitch prevented the alert from going out in Quebec.

Update: Seems like that there is consensus on Twitter regarding this issue being a carrier issue. It worked well for Rogers and there networks, but seems like a issue with Telus/Bell and their babies. But not to forget, there will be another test like this in September.

Is Koodo going to give us some information on this and why it seems it didn’t work. Everyone I know in Ontario on Koodo did not receive the test

You need to give them some time to investigate.  I recommend following them on twitter

The Emergency alert issue is currently being investigated. Ensuring that we avoid these situations is exactly why these tests are performed. A resolution is being worked on as we speak, stay tuned. More details: www.alertready.ca/#alerts.

When I opened the link on weather app it stated was a test of alert system.

The Weather Network (Canada) is a partner in the AlertReady System. You will receive such alerts through the WeatherNetwork App for locations you have as one of the weather locations you follow. Unfortunately, it does not include the 'Follow Me' locations, so of little use when travelling.

Do you follow weather in either Ontario or Quebec? If so, no Raid needed.

Still no audible alarm was sounded even though my phone was not muted or on stand-by. Didn't even receive a push alert that my s8 is set active for.

Just looked data roaming is off all I did was turn off wifi and turn on data to see if i was on a g3 od g4 for the alert I didnt get and open a website about the alert with data .

The site used 3mbs of data and I am getting billed $7 for opening a website

  • 530 Points 500 badge 2x thumb
Or is it the additional data $7/100 mb
If so thats not bad if I use the 100 mbs
Am I being billed $7 for 3 mbs or did I just pay the $7 100mbs and only uses 3 mbs of it so far ?

If the phone is on silent (which i suspect most would be in a room of 120 people), then you will only get the notification on no alert sound.

There's also only so many compatible phones. Here is the link for phones tested to work, with Koodo saying otherwise you'll need to speak with the manufacturer to ensure that they will work:
