Have a data only plan for those of use who barley use our phones for calling. Then you could have a 100 minute add on and unlimited messaging add on we could add if we would like.

Or at least a plan with much more data and much less minutes then current plans for a similar price.

Good point Leygh!

Other providers are offering such plans i.e Rogers, Bell - If koodo can come with Postpaid only Data plan for Internet usage with pay as you go talking minutes like for Prepaid, sort of adding talk boosters

It's been requested many, many times, which just goes to show it is a good idea :D Though I know what Koodo is going to answer: "we can't comment on any upcoming plans or prices for competitive reasons" :)

In this case I would recommend the $20 Talk + Text. That's 50 Canada-wide minutes and unlimited texting with CD/VM and pay-per-use data... you can get up to 3GB of Data for $30 and $10 for each GB over that.

You need to have SOME calling on your phone and I'm sure you text in some capacity.
The 50 minutes would be sufficient calling and unlimited texting is great.

I don't see any $20 plans listed here: https://shop.koodomobile.com/plans/pl...

Am i looking in the wrong place?

The plan isn't advertised on the website but it is still offered if you ask for it.
Ok good to know. Thanks!
I went with this option and should definitely be saving some money and wasting less minutes this way. Thanks for your help. Definitely a good solution for now.

Just my two cents, I don't see any point in data only rate plans. Koodo doesn't have data only devices.
It makes sense to me if you have add ons for calling and texting. The point is so the bulk of you bill would be going towards data and not towards minutes that you are not using.

Koodo used to have a $20 rate plan, it's only available for retention purposes now.
Ok, so that plan is not an option for me.

Oui oui. Self Serve > Plans and Add-ons > Change Plans > It will be there.

Remember if you change your plan, the next month will be prorated.
