data won't turn on

I have a 50mb data plan and I haven't used any of the data this billing period, but the data won't connect. I've tried EVERYTHING except talk to koodo and nothing seems to be working.

What is everything?

Have you ever had a data block on your account? This old add-on requires a call to customer service to remove. Otherwise:

1. Make sure data is on in your phone's settings.
2. Make sure your APN settings are correct (guide says for Android, but the values are the same for any phone):
3. If using an iPhone make sure the app you're using is permitted to use cellular data:

Did you log into your self serve to make sure you haven't accidently used your data allotment, I mean 50mb can be gone in the blink of an eye.
