Data usage overage charge, how do I get a refund? My plan has a $7.00 fee for 100MB. I was charged $12.00 only used 65.256MB. How do I get a credit issued for $5.00?

Log into self serve and download your pdf ebill.  What does the charges say for data overage?

Hi there!

Would you share some details about your bill without including cell number or account number? Do you have a screenshot of what you see on your bill?

It seems like an error, but it will be hard to know without knowing the exact details.

I am not very tech savy on posting a screen shot.   my plan is $30  500 min Plan
Data Usage on bill shows   Total used 65.256MB    $12.00
According to how I read the plan online according to my phone number, It states $7.00 for 100MB

Yes... my old plan was $5.00 for 100MB.   But they are technically doulbe charging.

No, roaming.  no, listing of 2  different data phases just one lumb total.    If they were pro-rating between changes it does not show.   Plus mathimatical it does not work.

Hmm.... It is a little confusing since we are just customers like you and cant see your bill, dont know how far into the billing cycle you were before you changed your plan, etc.

It is possible but unlikely that a rep will look into your from the community here.  I recommend sending Koodo a private message via facebook or twitter and a rep can look into your billing

Hey Tammy - the double charge is due to the plan change. Pay-per-use and Data charges do not get pro-rated, so there was a $5 usage charge for data used prior to the plan change, and $7 (as per the new rate), after the change.

Thank you for the explanation . Now I am wondering if I have made the right choice.
Seeing as I just switch providers.  Feeling Scammed.

This is why it is always best to change plans at the end or beginning of your billing cycle
