How does Koodo calculate data usage? I just activated my phone yesterday and under "usage history", it showed total data used since yesterday was about 0.10MB and yet under "booster usage", it showed 5.303MB used. Why is there such a big discrepancy?

Besides, my phone has showed data usage to be less than 1MB - it feels like either there's something wrong with Koodo's tracking system or there's clear over-charge.

Yea that sounds suspicious when there is a dependency like that.

Make sure to take a screen shot with the time and date and when the data reset last occurred as proof in case anyone doesnt believe you.

Then call Koodo (*611 on your koodo cell, it's a free call)

EDIT: I misread. Thought you meant usage history on your device

It doesn't always update immediately, at least not for me but it is usually pretty accurate.

If I were you, I'd save the Data Usage information from you phone as a sort of proof of your actual usage at the end of your month/cycle.
I've done that in the past to explain/show to Koodo that there was a discrepancy & they corrected it.

Thanks!

I've just turned on the data a few min. ago so I know exactly what has been used that's why 5MB sounds so incredibly high. While I understand the usage may not be updated immediately, the apps I ran would not have used 5MB of data under either Bell or Rogers.

A little disappointing if Koodo is so this unreliable in their data tracking....

Your device can also track data usage.
What does your device say you used?

If your device is close to what Koodo says you used then it has to do with your apps and not with the network

It says 0.96MB.

I know there might be minor discrepancies between the usage according to my phone and according to Koodo - but 1MB vs 5MB is too much of a difference.
