On Friday and continuing today I am having issues with the data service in downtown Ottawa. Most apps time out but e-mail seems to slip through. All works fine away from downtown. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I went to the far side of the building and found that data was working as normal, so I downloaded the Network Signal Info app and found that I was on Cell ID 108210916. I returned to my starting location, where data is not working well, that is in Cell ID 108210530. Later I went one block in the opposite direction and found data was working well again, on Cell ID 108210530. Are these findings meaningful?
It's working this morning! I did nothing to my phone since yesterday, not even restart it (just plugged it in overnight). Maybe someone saw my post and did something to the cell, or maybe it is my phone: time will tell. My neighbours don't have Koodo or Telus phones to try. If I have trouble again I will select Koodo in the network settings and see if it helps. Thanks!
