No idea. Shouldn't be happening. "Leakage" happens it's a known issue. If it's quite a small amount you should be able to send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter to get it reversed.

Yes call them and for sure get it reversed. As Goran says it is a known issue and even with data turned off it still happens sometimes.

Koodo needs to come up with a fix for this. It shows 0 data used but will still charge a $5 roaming fee. Im sure they could set it up so you arent charged when it shows 0 data used but they havent yet.

Thanks.  The same thing happened last month and they did reverse the charges.  They said I had used 0.06 data and it probably was leakage.  I had the same phone last year while in the USA and never had a problem.  Rather annoying!!

Which phone was it?
Carrier often claimed the problems were from the phone. Some apps were claimed to access to network hand-off, or GPS data from cellular tower... even when data was instructed to off.

Did you turn off the phone prior to arriving in the US?  Did you ever turn the phone on while in the US?
During the shut off and power up cycle, the phone is vulnerable to data leakage.

If the phone is always off, maybe leave the phone at home or take out your sim?

They should remove charges automatically if roaming data usage/ leakage was under 1MB, 5MB even 10( or 20)MB.

I've seen this Idea before(I forgot number of suggested amount)....  Maybe time for post this as an Idea?

If I had Easy Roam installed I would get charged $7.50 every time this leakage occurred.  Can you imagine??

And you would challenge it the same as the $5 charge discussed.
