Data overages not showing up on my bill, but show up on self serve?

So my boyfriend and I just got new iPhones (5s) and have only received our first bill, which I paid using online banking. On self serve on the overview page it does say "you do not have a balance owing". My PDF bill says $0 under data charges (on the bill I just paid) yet when I go to usage on each of the accounts it shows an amount owing for data, and these amounts showed before I paid the bill which I put enough money in to pay the bill and overages. So why are they still showing up as if I haven't paid them? I also have it so I get text messages when I've almost reached my data limit but they are very glitchy. I get one that says "you've used 50% of your 100MB of data" then one says "you've used 90% of your 100MB of data" then it goes back to saying 50% all in the same day. I'm very confused on how all of this works?

You get some free data in the first few days of signing up for a new account. This is most likely what you have experienced. Rest assured that normalcy returns with your first full month, and you can expect to get notified of your consumption, and if you have a Shock-free plan, cutoff at 100%
