I have set up to receive a text message when I'm about to reach my data usage limit, but I didn't and got over it. Now I notice that the website doesn't seem to save my choice. As soon as I leave the Data Notification tab, it changes back to off. What should I do? I don't want to pay an extra 5 bucks next month again!

Try clearing your browser's cache and try again.

If the problem persists, I would call Koodo *611 on your Koodo cell (it's a free call) and explain you are trying to do this on self serve but it won't save

Also you might be able to set your data usage limit on your phone.
Menu > Setting > wireless & network > more >data usage > set usage under the data usage cycle

Hi.

I tried clearing my browser's cache and it didn't work. But the call was very helpful, they fixed my problem really fast.

The problem with setting in on my phone is that the data usage it "sees" and the one Koodo sees are different. But thanks anyway!

Note that sometimes there is a lag between the actually usage and the text notification.

I second Mayumi's suggestion (as a back up or a plan B).
Assuming you have an android phone, you should be able to set it so it only counts data used via cellular data and you can also set your billing cycle to line up. Even if they are not 100% the same, they should be fairly close.

Just my 2 cents to help prevent unexpected overage from data on your bill.

well it happened to one of my phones this month, 1700MB over, not a single text message warning, go to the settings and it was already turned on?  my second phone got the text message when i reached 50% the last few months.
