Does my data stop if I reach the limit or does it keep going on and charge me?

It will continue and you will be charged for any overage.  You can track your data use (and texts and calls) on the Koodo website under "Self Serve".  Many phones permit you to track your rough data usage through the settings menu.

If you're on prepaid, once you use up a data booster data will stop until you add another booster.

On postpaid (monthly bill) data will continue and you'll be charged as per your plans overage rate. Check selfserve to see more details about this rate.

I have the monthly bill option. However, while I bought my phone and plan, the sales rep explained that once I reach my data limit it stops.

He was misinformed, if the data just stopped you wouldn't need overage rates.

There are ways to program your phone so it stops but the counter on your phone is inaccurate.

Settings... DATA useage... Set limit

So you just posted your phone number on a public forum too

Sigh, try logging into self serve for more information, the app sucks (sorry koodo but it does).
