Data I have versus what self help says

My plan shows that I am able to use 250 mb of data but when I look at the self serve it shows I have used 51 and I'm in the red. I don't understand. It doesn't show any other usage but I have additional data charges of $10

Did you recently change your plan? If so, then the data amount is prorated. So if say you changed it 6 days before the end of the billing cycle x you'd get around 50MB of data to use until then.
No I haven't.

@ Barb you have 3 lines on the account. The one ending with phone # 47 did indeed have a plan change very recently. Is that the one you are inquiring about? If not, can you pls tell me which? Last two digits are enough for me to see. Of the 3 lines only 2 have plans with data included, albeit neither one is with 250MB.

Ok, that line has a talk & text plan on it. Meaning you don't have any data included in the plan. You can use data, but it will be on a pay-per-use basis with our data saver. The reason it's red to show that you will have incurred extra charges over an above the monthly price of your plan.
