Called customer service because my phone not working property and still within warranty. I didn't really understand the rep, not clear when talking. I kept hearing best solution, the best solution for you. Today, I got an empty box to sent in my phone and get a replacement. Called back and realized the best solution was to borrow a phone from friends while I get a replacement phone. After years of being a customer , the purposed solution to borrow phone from friends. If that's not stupid , not sure what is. Is this standard practice from other carriers?

Hey Hossein,

Thanks for reaching out to us! Have you tried to visit a Koodo store nearby ( ? Loaning a phone while yours is getting repaired is possible but only at a Koodo Store.

Keep us posted!

Yes, to two of them infact, no loaner phone, I have to deal with customer service.
Anyway, i went to fido today, I can get exactly the same plan as I have with koodo with $2 more a month and I can get LG G3 phone at zero cost. This seems a much better solution than getting a phone from friends.

Are you saying that, someone at Koodo, told you to borrow a friends phone, while Koodo sends your phone out for warantee work???

Hossein, the LG G3 is $0 on the Tab with us. The current plan you have with us I don't see offered by Fido on their website. No 1GB plan in Quebec. You would have to downgrade to take a plan for 750MB, which cost $8 more with them than what we have with us. Alternately their 2GB plan at $65 which is $50 with us if you take no tab. I will follow up with the Eaton center call to see why their loaner supply was not adequate as per your description. Please accept our apology!

If I read your 1st post correctly, you were getting a replacement phone, not repair.
And No, none of the carriers send you a loaner phone when you are getting a replacement,   You send in your old phone and they will send you the replacement.

Some of the carriers will send you a replacement right away and trust that the customer will send the damaged phone back, but that doesn't always happen.
