Not exactly,

Log into self serve and click Tab. You'll see a link to pay off your current tab. This balance will be added to your next bill. You can now use another tab for a new phone.

Thanks so much. So if I were to buy a phone from someone on the Internet ( a friend) could I put my sim card into that and still pay what I am on my galaxy s4?

Yup , lots of us do that all the time. Just has to be compatible and if it's not a koodo phone then it needs to be Unlocked (unless it's a telus phone (in most cases))
