How does a friend make a credit card payment for my phone bill? The website doesnt give that option and only seems to accept credit cards that have the same billing address as my living address

Then that is the only option. If the card has different details, you would need to register it. You can call Koodo to get that done. it could take a couple weeks to complete the registration.

"By calling *611 from your Koodo Mobile phone, toll free at 1-866-99-KOODO, you can make one-time credit card payments " - taken from the FAQ

It doesn't specify that the account holder needs to make the payment, so if you get together with your friend and call 611, you can explain to them what your friend wishes to do and hand the phone to them.

System wouldn't allow the CC to be processed unless it's registered. Otherwise, a bank payment would need to be done.

If that's the case, the FAQ needs to clearly state that. It states that a card needs to be registered for automatic payments but doesn't say anything about one-time payments.

Just make the payment online on the kood website! You can actually do it, I have done it. Peole will tel you otherwise but it worked multiple times for me so it's not just luck.

That's because the name of the card doesn't match your account. You have to call in to customer care to register the credit card! Otherwise you'll have to make a payment through bank teller or online banking with your customer # on the top of your bill.

I have been paying my husband and my accounts for 5 years on my credit card and all of a sudden I can't do it.  This is silly.  I live at the same address and regardless if someone is trying to pay money on my account why should Koodo care.  I assume clients have a certain amount of time to report an error in their accounts if someone paid the wrong account some how.   Was there a notice about the change?

Hey Deb! This thread is back from 2013. We care about the credit card information because we want to avoid any fraudulent activity. If the payment is not going through, please contact our customer service team and they will be able to fill out a form with your information to add your credit card as authorized on the account for you to be able to make payments Thank you!
