Hello Koodoverse:

I'm up in Chapleau Ontario.

I was on the CDMA network (Tbay Tel) for a few years with great service. When that network went away recently, I upgraded my phone to a Moto G 3rd Gen.

Works great in town (LTE), but the network doesn't work out at my place - about 10-15 Kilometers from town (on the river).

I'm wondering if our coverage up here will get another BOOST soon?

I'd really like to stay with Koodo. I have a great plan that works for me and your customer service has been truly great for me.

I've  heard that there are devices that I might be able to buy that will boost a signal and get my phone working out here.

Anyone know about these "boosters"?

Any advice/help much appreciated.

Thanks ~p

There are boosters you can buy, they tend to be pricy.
The cheapest one I could find is at the source for 350

Does anyone in your area have coverage with their providers?
Koodo covers 99% of the population so you must be pretty far out!!

Hey Mitchell
Visitors with Rogers plans have service here. And I think some people are with Bell, but I can't vouch for whether they are covered here.

I really want to stay with koodo.

I mostly use the phone to text a few people and make a few calls.

I loved the CDMA coverage. It worked out on the river when we were messing around in the boat or kayaks. I originally got the phone so my Mother in law could always reach us.

I have a line on a used booster. Might give it a shot.

Thanks for responding.

Hello Pam.

I'd verify with other people on the same network to see if you've got coverage at your place. From what I see on the map, there should be coverage in your region.

This 4G network

This is CDMA coverage

Hey Robert
Thanks for responding.
It totally looks like I should have coverage. We checked this (me and the great guy I spoke with at tech support) I should look up his name. He was really great when I called last week when the CDMA finally went down for keeps.

Once in a rare while I get one bar when I first turn on the phone. It rapidly disappear s though.

Hey Pam! Both you and Robert are right,
you definitely should be getting coverage with your new Moto G! That being
said, signal can be
affected by various factors, as in: tall buildings in your surroundings,
concrete structures, interference, tower location, just to name a few. Although
you have already spoken to one of our technicians last week, I would recommend
calling back from a device other than your Moto G at 1-866-995-6636 option 6 so
that we can further troubleshoot and hopefully find a solution :)

Hey Anna
Thanks for responding.
I will call in tomorrow and see if there is anything that might help.
I remembered the name of the guy who was super helpful VAZKEN.
If you are in contact with him, please let him know that he did a great job when we spoke. So helpful and friendly.
