Hello,
SMS and messaging services appear to be down in my area (Kelowna, BC). I cannot receive texts, and my outgoing texts are being spammed to the recipient. I have a plan and an LG G6 phone. I want to know if this is a my phone issue or a service issue. It seemed to be working 100% fine up until about 2 hours ago.

Can you make calls? What do you mean that outgoing texts are being spammed to the recipient?

I have been able to make calls. Data seems to be working fine however.
If I send a message to someone, they will receive multiple versions of that message, once seemingly every second. On my end, it'll just keep saying sending repeatedly.
Also, I am not receiving an incoming text messages.

Instead of getting the 1 text, the recipient got the same text 21 times until I went on airplane mode and pulled the plug.

Did it happen to 1 recipient or all of yours? It could be a glitch somewhere.
I would try to restart the phone and see if it helps.

It sounds like a problem with your texting and everything else is fine. What app are you using to text|? Try using the stock app that came with the phone to see if you're having the same issues?

It's happening with all my recipients, and I am using the stock SMS app. I've turned it off, restarted the phone, took out the SMS and blew on the inside like a game cartridge like that would make a difference.

If it worked yesterday and the issues happened now, then the problem could be from the network. I would wait for tonight and see if it can fix itself tomorrow morning. If not, you might have to contact Koodo directly to ask them to check on their end.

Hey. I'm having the same issue, so it must be the carrier. delayed sending texts, then spamming recipients. I tried texting a few people and same result.

No problems with texting on my end which is in lower mainland BC. Could be a glitch in the system but if it is still happening in the morning I would give them a shout. *611 from your mobile phone.
