I just received a bill where I finished paying off my tab on the old tab system and am confused with the charges.

I had 2.14 left to pay on the tab and had a monthly $5 tab charge with a $7.50 contribution from Koodo.

On this last bill, I still got charged the full $5 tab charge and for some reason also got a $5 "Upgrades, payoff & credits" charge which I've never had before.  Koodo's contribution also dropped to $5.36 for some reason.

My tab now has a positive balance of 3.22 so the $5.36 went towards my tab but my $5 charge just got wiped out by the "Upgrades, payoffs & credits" charge which I have no clue what it is.

Can anybody explain this to me as well as why I would still have a full $5 charge if I didn't even have that much left to pay on the tab?

I believe that's how Koodo squares away am amount left less than what you pay monthly. 7.50-2.14=5.36 next month should be all good

The math in that makes sense but that's about it.  Why would they do that?
Their contribution is a certain percentage of my bill so why would it be lowered just because my remaining balance is being paid off?

Thanks.  I got an email and it looks like it's all cleared up.
Just for anybody else who may have the same thing happen to them, it was an error on the bill.  They corrected it after the bill was produced so my bill showed $5 more than my actual amount owing.
