I was just looking at their prices the other day and they're not *that* much cheaper if you want a high end subsidized phone... All kind of decent data plans start around $70 or more anyway.

Also keep in mind the U.S has over 10 times the population of Canada (so more potential subscribers to get money from), and less ground to cover, so population density is on their side too.

The US has a lot more competition in the mobile market than we have here in Canada (We only Really have the big 3)

There are 3 providers that have 80% of market share in the US. Not that much more competition at all really.
