Charges for Data I don't use!!

Again I have a Data charge when I do not use any data. I have a text and talk only account,
I do occasionally send and receive photos but until recently I haven't had any data charges when I did this.
The last time I called Koodo and the charge was removed, does anyone have any idea where this charge is coming from?
"4.50", it is annoying after 5 years to be getting this extra charge.
Guess I'll have to call again the first of the week to have this fixed.

If you have a smartphone then each time you turn on data to send or recieve a picture message (mms) other things update in the background that will take up data, things such as weather and other widgets on your home screens as well as some apps such as email or social apps.
You can stop this from happening by going into settings - data usage - then tap on each app that consumes data one at a time and scroll down and enable the restrict data setting.
Either that or O Ly accept or send picture messages when your connected to a wifi connection so only the picture message goes through the phones data connection.

Guess you will have to call Koodo and explain it to them once and for all.

Please do mention at once that you do NOT have a smartphone.

Paul's answer was perfect for someone who has a smartphone, thus the 3 stars, which obviously don't help you in the least.
