one thing i think that can be done better is changing the Tab L plans.. i find with those on tab medium plans for less money, they are getting more.. even though they pay an additional 5.00 a month the tab large users are paying 10.00 extra plus more for their rate plans and they aren't getting as much as someone on a tab medium..

for example:
Tab Medium 60.00 plan changes to 65.00 + tax. they get unlimited Canada wide calling, Unlimited texting call display voice mail etc.. and 1GB of Data

for the tab large their smallest plan is 65.00 which changes to 75.00 because of the extra 10.00 charge, they get the same stuff but only get 500MB of data... for them to have an equivalent amount of data on their plan they are having to pay for the next plan which is 75.00 but with the tab 10.00 charge extra..they are paying 85.00 a month..

i just feel that someone who is paying more for their rate plan should get more data for having to pay an additional 10.00 on top of the rate plan the tab large doesn't seem fair to their customers because a smaller tab gets more for the minimum plan you can get on a Tab L.

Or instead of forcing them into higher rate plans allow the same plans but still use the tab charges of the 5.00 and 10.00.. the Tab L plans i find detour people from getting higher end phones because they aren't satisfied with the TAB L rate plans.

If people can't afford to pay more up front for a high end phone, and are not willing to pay more on their plan to get a cheaper high end phone, perhaps they should not be getting a high end phone.

what i meant was instead of having the separate Tab L plans keep that extra charge of 10.00 for a higher end phone.. or up their data.. it seems they are being penalized for a higher end phone. If they are paying higher rate plans they should get more data to use for that price.. especially when someone in a tab medium is getting more for less of a price.. and why separate the tab large plans from small and medium tabs? may as well keep them all the same. For phones up too 300.. i agree with the 5.00 additional charge.. and for the phones up to 500.00 i agree with the additional 10.00 charge.. i just dont think dividing up the plans once you get to the up too 500.00 phones because it seems unfair to those clients.

It's so the tab can be cleared within 2 years. These plans are no different than the Iphone plans that Koodo came out with initially.

I can't help but feel Koodo has lost sight of it's original goals.

Absolutely agree, Violet!

In fact I'd even simplify it and state it like this:

- Any plan rate can get Tab S
- Any plan rate of $30+ can get Tab M
- Any plan rate of $60+ can get Tab L

Grandfathered & otherwise!

So much simpler and no need for (even crazier) separate plans!

While I agree that tab L plans are a lousy choice, no matter how many votes this idea gets the only thing that will get koodo to change them is a lack of people signing up. Since the tabs changed less than 6 weeks ago, and there are probably still 50% of koodo's customers who are not aware of the changes, it'll be a while before the success of the plans can be fairly evaluated. I'd say it'll be at least a few months before we see any changes to the tab L plans.

Sadly, I know 2 people who still went with TabL plans even though I spent 2 full evenings explaining to them they'd save moolah by going TabM. They wouldn't have it. People really only see the initial expense as the official price. You could sell them anything in a price bracket ranging from $45 to $85 and they wouldn't care.

Oh well... I threw a rope. It's up to people to grab it!

I've always said, if you want a company to make change, hit em where it hurts. Their wallet.

$30 plan==$4.50/month tab contribution
$4.50/month x 24 months==$108
$5 tab charge x 24 months==$120
Tab paid after 24 months==$228
Portion of $300 tab eaten by koodo==$72

$10 tab charge x 24 months==$240
Tab paid after 24 months==$348
Portion of $500 tab eaten by koodo==$152

That's why the tab L plans have to be above a certain price point.

That's a $80 difference, which is $3.33/month spread over 24 months... TabL could still be better than the current offering, even considering the amount they have to clear at the end.

so then they should just increase the data offered on the tab large plans then.. so instead of 500mb increase it to 1gb of data
