How to change to one of the new plans using Self Serve? I do not have Tab and I brought my own device. The new plans are cheaper even without the 10% discount. When I try to change my plan I am presented with the old plans that are not valid anymore.

Looks like their website is going through some growing pains. In the mean time until you can change to the new plans, you will have to call customer service (*611 on your koodo cell)

Thanks for the quick reply. I can call them as long as they do not charge me $10 for changing my plan as per their web site.

It would be stupid of them to charge for something that you can't do online. But let us know how it goes as I'm curious now what they will tell you.

Alright I gave Koodo a call and they switched my plan and the CS person said there won't charge me $10 for changing my plan as they know for a fact I couldn't do it online. Reason they say is because I'd lose my BYOD discount. But that's a moot point as the new plans are cheaper compared to the older ones even with the BYOD discount.

Well that's good there is no charge although the reason they give makes no sense. There is no 10% discount anymore. That CS person needs some homework. :-)

Reason is obvious to me. They'd like you to stay on the old plan since you'll be paying more even with the 10% discount. Old ROBELUS trickery if you ask me. If Koodo was that decent they'd switch everybody automatically to the new plans as it will save money for their clients...

Filip. I strongly disagree. If Koodo had their way they would change everyone over to their new plans for simplicity and profitability.

Personally I am happy they are letting us keep our grandfathered plans since they are much better than the current plans (especially if you had the double the mins&data promo plans from a couple years back)

from what I know the only way to get the new plans is to do an upgrade, they said that they are unable to change to the knew plans through the phone, I believe they only say that cuz they want more people to do upgrades but it's worth a try calling in

As per their web site "Available if you bring your own phone or with the Tab.". They do not have old plans anymore, they just reduced the pricing across the board and also removed the BYOD discount option. What they do is to make you call them and explicitly request what you want.
