Changing to New Phone and Keep My Plan & Tab

I want to buy an 'On The Tab iPhone' from best buy, but I want to know if I can use my old SIM card. I currently have a phone, but would like to get a new phone. I would rather not have to buy an unlocked phone though (simply because it is more expensive). Another question I have is: If I bought that phone, would it need to be unlocked in order for me to use it, or could I unlock it without having to pay for the whole plan of that phone?
I'd love to hear what suggestions you have!

If you're a Koodo customer and are buying it from Koodo or a retailer then it'll obviously work just fine. You will only need to unlock it if you intend on travelling with it or switching providers.

If your SIM card is currently a Nano SIM, than all they have to do is put the old SIM in the new phone and that's it. If your new phone requires a new SIM, then I believe they're only $5 or provided for free with a new device (not sure, haven't worked with wireless stores in months now).

About your plan/Tab. The plan will stay the same if you pick the "regular" Tab option. The website only shows the Tab Plus options. You'll be paying the Tab charge over 24 months, like an interest free loan, separately from your plan.

Hey Tamara and Jonathan! All new SIM cards are $5, so if you need to purchase a new one, that's what you will have to pay for it :) Cheers!
