Changes with KOODO PROTECTION !!!

Anyone can confirm the changes on Koodo Extra Warranty service???

My "inside person" just texted me that from now on we can get "some of the phone" repaired via UBREAKIFIX for some but not all repair issues..... And also new subscribers get 36 months protection instead of the current 24 months.

Can anyone double check; I don't like only having a single source for my infos (except if I get back-up materials: PDF or Screenshots...).

More details is also appreciated.

Yes new subscribers get 36 months

Repair option is based on geography (the nearest UBREAKIFIX location) and device model

Extended warranties are good for phones that are thousand dollars and more. Yeah we have good case and screen protector but we will never know when an accident might happened and screw the phone. it's heartbreaking if that happens to phones that costs more than thousand dollars like note 8, pixel 2xl or iphone X and you still have a tab balance to pay.

Do you ever get the extended warranty on TV's, Laptops, Desktops, etc?

well, you carry your phone with you all the time. lots of risks. anything could happen. you can cancel it anytime anyways so when you dont need it anymore just cancel it.

For me, if its broken beyond what the manufacturers warranty covers, after the prices you pay and time you'll spend to get a product fixed, its not worth it.
If you buy warranty on every single thing you get, when the time comes that you actually may need to use it, you likely would've spent the same amount of money.
Just my two cents!

Exactly @Allen.

Besides,if you think about it... If they are not making money off it, why would they sell it?
