Changed plan but billed for both old and new plan

I changed my plan from the $25 to the $40 dollar plan on July 19 but was charged for my old plan and the new $40 plan. So I was effectively double charged for the same billing period.

Are you sure you weren't pro-rated for partial month 25 and partial month 40? Does page 3 if your bill have any overlap in dates between the two plans?

Im not sure what you mean by pro rated but all my transactions were done today July 19. It seems like I was charged for my old $25 plan instead of the new one and then charged for the new after.

By the looks of it you have automatic top ups so your plan was renewed today for $25, then you switched to a bigger plan after it had already been renewed.

So I am never going to see that $25 again is what you are saying. Thanks for your help, much appreciated. I will keep in mind that I will be scammed if I decide to switch my plan again.

This is well documented: "If you're changing your base plan while there’s an active base plan already on the account, just remember that the change is applied immediately and you won't be refunded for the days remaining in your current base plan."

You can try contacting Koodo as you didnt seem to know this would happen but there are no guarantees and not much we can do to help out on here.
