I have a prepaid plan and have changed my phone number on the web site. But all calls are going to voice mail, and my phone is not showing the new number. How do I get calls to ring through to my phone?

Got it. On an iPhone I had to go to Settings > Phone (NOT Cellular) and manually change the number to my new number. I then powered the phone off by holding down the power button for several seconds. And after it have shut down, waited a bit, then powered it back up.

Do you have the luxury of waiting a few hours? These changes can take a bit of time to implement 100% on any cell system. If you look at system settings on your phone, what's the phone number listed?

Maybe pull the SIM & battery out of your phone, let it rest a few minutes, reassemble and restart: your phone will have to do a ground-up restart on the system.

Have a nioce evening.

Turning your phone off and back on should have done the trick without hving to manually change your number. It would have changed itself after you power cycled your phone (turned it off and on again). Always power cycle your phone if you are having network issues because 99% of the time it fixes the issue

Switching from a US SIM back to Koodo (which was re-activated a week before) took about 6 restarts before my Note II got it right and could place a call at a Canadian airport. I guess the phone was still missing the weather in Arizona.

If at first you don't succeeeeeeeeed...
