Are you saying your old phone had a SIM Card and your new one doesn't? if that's the case enter the imei # located under the battery of the phone.

What is the new device you are trying to use? Is this device unlocked? because probably the code the cellphone is asking you is to UNLOCK the device...

If you do mean that you got the phone not from Koodo and the phone is asking you for a code when you put in your SIM Card to unlock the network then you need to go online to a site that offers cellphone unlocking and purchase an unlocking code from them, I suggest GSM LIBERTY.

** VERY IMPORTANT ** Keep in mind that you only get 10 chances to unlock the device with the code, so don't try just punching in #s because after you use up those 10 chances the device will be LOCKED PERMANENTLY!!!! You will be left with a useless block of plastic, glass & metal.

is it asking for a SIM card code? or a subsidy code? As Kid Android says, the phone may be locked, but there may also be a lock on the SIM card. If you don't know the code for the SIM, you will need to get a new one.

yup you need to unlock your new phone to use your carrier ... you can do this by purchasing unlock codes from any vendors online like http://www.simpleunlocking.com .Once unlocked you can use any network to it...

You just put the "old" sim into the new phone and it will work.
