Change my number over

I have requested to change my number over and its been 48 hours with no luck yet.  It mentions that my request is in process.  It was a land line transfer from Bell to Koodo.  Currently, I can use the new phone that I have from Koodo but I dont receive any phone calls.  I have called that number using my cell number and it just rings with no ringing on my new phone. Anything I can do to finish this transfer?

Hi Denis, if you have an old phone that you used with Bell make sure it's turned off and power cycle the new koodo phone (turn if off, remove the SIM Card and replace it and then turn on the phone.) This can sometimes help.

Its als normal to take longer to port over from a land line to Koodo. There really isn't much to do than wait a few business days. I'd say by 4th to 5th business day if it's not done then send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter to find out what's going on.

Hi Paul, thanks for the quick reply. I have tried and no luck. I failed to mention that this was a landline transfer. Do I need to cancel my bell landline phone so that the number transfers over?

Nope it should cancel automatically once the port is completed. When you call your old number does your old phone ring?

Yes I can hear a ring out of the phone that I am calling from (a different phone altogether) but no ring from the new Koodo phone that is supposed to have the new number

Yeah give it a couple more days like Goran suggested. When I ported a Bell landline to Koodo it took a few days, Bell landlines seem to be the most lengthy of all the ports for some reason.

Don't cancel anything. That gets done automatically as part of the porting process. Let it do its thing and see above what ibsaid if it doesn't.

Ok. Many thanks. I will give it a few more business days since I did the change on Friday.

It usually takes 3 business days if it from landline.
Also, you should receive an Email or text when porting is completed.

Hi. I a man on my forth day. Reason why I am concerned about my line is that one of my lines go transferred to my wife a number of days ago. Why is the line that I requested first lagging behind?

Hi Greg, I think I'd send Koodo a private message to their FB page or Twitter account where they can verify your account and further assist you on this matter as I think it should have went through by now.
