Woke up with no service this morning. Just wondering if it's just me or what's up. I've turned it on and off a couple of times, and my account is paid.

Hello,

To resolve your connectivity issue, please try the following:
1) Make sure airplane mode was not turned on by accident. If it is not, then continue reading!
2) Turn the phone off; Remove the SIM card from the device as well as the battery (if the phone has a removable battery). Let it sit for a few minutes and then re-assemble the device, power it on and see if it works. If not, continue reading!
3) Verify your phone’s APN settings by using the following Koodo website’s information: http://help.koodomobile.com/plans-add... If it is still not working for you, keep reading
4) Verify if the phone has any available updates, sometimes there might be a bug that causes this kind of issue that is fixed in an update. If it is still not working, keep reading!
5) This step is one of the less favourable steps and it is a factory reset on the device. Doing a factory reset can help resolve little glitches that the phone may have now. Doing this though will result in you loosing all data on your phone, except any data on an external memory card (with the exception of apps, apps will be lost regardless where they are stored). Hopefully, after a factory reset your device will work. If it is not, move on to the next step.
6) At this point you are going to want to contact Koodo for further troubleshooting steps that surpass our expertise here on the Koodo community, they may try to get you to try another SIM card or be able to send your phone to get repaired (if it is still under warranty with no obvious accidental damage, it will most likely be free. If it is not under warranty, they will send it off and you will get a quote which you can choose to refuse and not be charged for anything.). To contact Koodo at this point, do not use your mobile phone, use a different phone using the number: 1-866-995-6636

Hope this helps! Have a great day!

Where did you get your phone?

I got it from a Koodo kiosk in September. I've been having issues with it lately, mostly the battery. But I just tried to power it down and do a battery pull like suggested and it said something about safe mode being turned off when it restarted. It was not and hasn't been in safe mode...

Have you attempted going into your network settings and made sure that network type is set to 3G only (or WCDMA/UMTS, depending on phone)?

Now it says my IMEI isn't registered. It was yesterday!!

I feel.like your Sim card is messed up. Not totally sure...do you have another Sim you could try in this phone?

If you don't, I'd go to the nearest Koodo kiosk and ask to try one of their SIM cards.

So I started to think it was the SIM card, so I called Koodo first and was told it must be the card. So I ran to the kiosk close to work and the guy who helped me, Jordan, was fantastic and was determined and sure he could fix it.

He tried a few of the normal troubleshooting steps before he tried my SIM card in one of their phones, and it worked just fine. Then he put a new one in mine and it still wouldn't work. So we sent it out for repair under the manufacturers warranty and gave me a loner phone. We both agreed it was rather bizarre.

Thanks for your help though guys!

So reading the steps to setting up the new APN, it says to leave the APN field blank. Curious why the default one isn't blank.

I'll try to do a factory reset today I suppose. Been meaning to anyways.. Sigh.
