I'll be travelling in the UK and France next week.  Last time I travelled I had to manually select from a list of carriers to have my phone work, does anyone know who the carrier will be for UK and France

Hi Lesley!

When you go into the phone settings to select network manually, any of the results that will appear will be good... Try to use the one that you see will give you better service/reception!

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks Camilo.  When I was last in Florida, three carriers showed as available when selecting manually, but only one would actually work, I think it was AT&T.  I was wondering in UK and France if anyone knew who the carrier would be so I can avoid the guessing game.

Hi Lesley,
I don't think Koodo have a list, but Telus does. I believe they are using the same roaming carriers. You could check it here https://www.telus.com/en/on/mobility/travel/?id=gb

For UK: O2, EE, Vodaphone, 3
For France: Orange, Bouyges, Free, SFR

Noted that: some carriers had limited support for roaming partners (2G, 3G, LTE).

Thanks Dinh, I'll take a look. Appreciate the response.

Scroll down to the pdf hyperlink. It gives a full list of which carriers support what when roaming.

Wow! That's quite the list.  Thanks Goran.  Do you happen to know, with the free 1GB promotion that's been added to my plan, if I add easy roam for my trip next week, will I be able to use the 1GB while I'm away?  I don't normally have any data on my plan.  I'm assuming yes, since it's the same as if I had purchased the data add on myself.

It's supposed to allow you full use of your plan. Sincerely it's a part of your plan, it should work during that time.
