What can i do if my monthly plan is too expensive for me now and there are no cheaper plans available? Do i have to cancel my contract?

You'd need to call in and speak with the loyalty department. They might have a couple of older plans they can still offer. Failing that, the only option left would be to cancel, since seasonal hold is only available if you're leaving the country.

The absolute cheapest way to get out of a contract/tab is to have a change of ownership with somebody willing to take over your account+plan+phone.

If you can't find anyone, maybe you can sell your device to someone else as it would help pay your subsidy buyout.

If all else fails, you pay your remaining subsidy in full and you're free to go, device in hand.

How about cancel monthly plan and switch to prepaid plan?

That will involve her buying out her subsidy, and she's probably trying to avoid that as her concern is around a money issue. The idea's great though Mayumi! :)

Yeah. I assumed she is not new customer which means she has a small amount of tab left...(I don't know why :) )

Any way you look at it, you will need to pay out your tab balance with any cancelation.
