Hi, I wrote this post some time ago

and I have been trying to call Koodo mobile's service to talk with one of the assistants, but I have to keep waiting someone answer me while music plays. After some time I had to turn off the call because it reached a 20 minute waiting time, and consequently it would be too expensive.

I would like to know if there is any way to unblock my phone using an online method, instead of having to call Koodo's mobile service.

There is NO ROAMING for prepaidĀ  clients, unfortunately, not even in the USA.

If you were monthly and had the same problem, you could try logging in to self service, checking your plan, and adding international roaming. Without that being activated, there would be no signal at all outside North America. Switching over to a monthly plan is not feasible for you since you would need a different SIM.

Your only option, since the phone is unlocked, is to get a SIM card and service from a local provider.

I had no idea that Koodo doesn't have roaming that should be in big huge letters on the sheet you sign off on, talk about false security if you are in North America going over the border frequently

Koodo has roaming for postpaid. But prepaid roaming is uncommon actually for carriers. I wouldn't exactly call it false security.

It's actually in the Terms Of Service and the FAQ

The phonemay not be unlocked. I don't know why you didn't just continue your thread. There's nothing you can do but wait on the phone and speak with koodo. Try calling over Skype or some other service to avoid fees.

As Chad suggested, because Koodo is a toll free number dial it with Skype and there will be no charge for the call
