Can't get a prepaid number ported. Where is the check status tool?

So I've been trying for a few days and paying for phone service I have not been able to use for about 2 weeks now.

I am trying to port a prepaid PetroCanada number over to Koodo. I tried calling, they needed an account number, I found out I have none for my prepaid and my account number is just my phone number, I tried doing this online but had to put a 0 before it. It didn't work. So I called the porting center, they took other info (IMEI, PIN, etc.), and said they would message me in less than 2 hours about whether it worked, I checked both sims and don't have messages.

The old prepaid sim is still working, my Koodo one still is not. My Number Transfer still says it's pending in Self-Serve and says to look at the "Check Transfer Tool" which I cannot find.

Am I ever going to be able to get this working? I'm considering cutting my losses and just getting a new number but can't even see how to do that, my prepaid is just about out of money and I would prefer not to add another $15 just to get rid of it.

Well if you wanted to just start new you can do that without a problem by just going to a Koodo kiosk or seller and ask for a prepaid sim card. Or you can order online I think for the sim card. Whichever you find easier.

As for porting, if you're not able to see its progress and it's been this long I would send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter or call their number to find out what's going on. That's way too long a time.

My apologies, I was unclear, been just doing the port phone number thing for 1 day, just been 2 weeks in total paying for a service I have not used since there were some shipping issues as well.

Thanks for the advice, I sent a message to the facebook messenger, what's the response time normally?

We've been told on average 3-4 hours. But it depends on if theyre swamped or not.

In the meantime, have you checked whether or not your existing number is eligible to move to Koodo Mobile? I don't think there'll be an issue, but worth checking if you haven't already done so.

When I go to that link it just tells me:

A request to move this number is already in progress. Use the Status tool to check the move progress of this number.

I assume that means yes?

Well, now you have a little more evidence that something is taking place. According to reports in the past, the 'Check Transfer Status' tool, is nowhere to be found. The phone number eligibility link appears to be able to check the status on a phone number move, though.

Seems as though there isn't an issue with the number. You'll just have to wait until one of the reps replies to you on FB.

It could be that Petro Canada is being difficult with the port.  I would wait until monday morning and if the port is not done by then, I would contact Koodo at this point and escalate

Looks like the port was just a minor speed bump.
