Cant call or recieve but cant use data and text

Ive been with koodo for the past 4 months with nk issue's. I just came back from the states yesterday and i am having calling and receiving issues. It wont make even make the dial tone. I have a samsung galaxy s6

Reseat your sim card and restart your phone. Of that doesn't work, reset your APN settings.

And cell phones don't have dial tones like land lines

After reseating the SIM card and restarting, do you have bars for signal strength in the notification area? Or are the bars grey with a "searching" message on screen?
Go into settings => about phone. Your network should read Koodo and signal strength will be listed in -dBm. The absolute value of the number must be smaller than 100 (-80 is good reception, more than -110 will mean no connection).
You can also try sending yourself a text to verify your communication loop with the mothership.

I took it the the koodo kiosk, they popped the sim into another phone and it worked just fine. They tried restarting and reinserting sim card into my s6 and still cant call or recieve. When they tried to call the signal would drop.

So it looks like an issue with your phone then. You can try factory resetting your phone after backing up your Info. Otherwise you'l have to send it in for a fix if possible. Could be a couple things impacting the signal on your phone. If you're lucky the antenna connectors are just loose. But it cm get expensive pretty quick.

Sorry had a title typo. I am able to use text and data with no issues. However, Cannot call or receive. Whenever i try to make a call the signal just drops and it doesnt do anything. @Mats Yeah its strange It will only work if i turn on the international roaming... Settings > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming > International voice

When you have this international roaming setting turned on what network does it show you are connected to? Under mobile networks is it set to automatic or manual? If manual, what network have you chosen?
