Cannot send texts!

My samsung galaxy wont send text messages. I have tried to take the battery out and reboot but it still doesnt work! All other functios work fine (receiving, web browsing, instagram, fb, etc. )

Samsung Galaxy Ace?

If so try turning the Wifi On or Off and trying again

there's abug there.

What message is the phone giving you?

Did you take out the SIM Card when you took out the battery for a minute or so?
Are you sending to the full 10 digit phone #?

Try deleting your old texts as well if you have any.

Samsung Galaxy S II X

I took both the SIM card out and the battery for 5 minutes with no luck. I am sending text messages to regular contacts that I usually send to.

The problem began after the phone died, and then plugged in to charge. Other than that, there were no changes at the time the problem began (example: water, dirt, dropping it, etc.)

The message that I am getting is just that my message has failed, check the message and send again. However it is happening to all contacts that I have tried to send the texts too and nothing is getting through.

I started getting exactly the same problem as you yesterday on just a normal Samsung galaxy ace. And i have tried every method suggested and from their website to no avail. not sure whats wrong :/

Have you read through and tried the suggestions here? Also you need an upgrade. I'm surprised you're just now having issues.

Which Galaxy? Ace, Ace II x, S II X?

Take a look to see if your data is turned on. A known issue with the Ace and reportedly the Ace II x is that if you have packet data turned on, texts will sometimes fail.

Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Uncheck "Use packet data" and try sending a text again. Then do another battery pull, try turning data on and sending a text again.

EDIT: Foiled again! You guys need lives. :P

I would contact Koodo tech support then. 1-866-995-6636 from a landline or *611 from your phone.

Did you try deleting the older sent / rec'd messages?

That's the only option I can see if nothing has changed in settings & a battery/SIMpull wwon't work. Try downloading another messaging app like Chad said and this should narrow the issue down a little further.

Also are you using the Default messaging app? You may want to look into Handcent SMS or GO smsPro or Chomp. All of those offer so many more features than your standard SMS and it might also fix your issue. they are all available in the Play Market.
